New Delhi: Ace Indian wrestler Babita Phogat, who has not shied away from sharing her thoughts on the ongoing controversy around Kargil martyr's daughter Gurmehar Kaur, has been slammed by several sections.
Babita, along with her sister Geeta Phogat, joined the likes of former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag and wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt as they came down heavily on Gurmehar.
The Phogat sisters have stood by their stand and have also lashed out at veteran Bollywood actor Javed Akhtar, who called Yogeshwar 'a hardly literate' wrestler.
On Tuesday, as Babita expressed her disappointment over Gurmehar's tweet, self-proclaimed film critic Kamal Rashid Khan aka KRK also entered the debate.
Taking a dig at Babita, KRK tweeted, "Ye Lo ji @BabitaPhogat Jisko Theek Se Bolnaa Tak Nahi Aata, Usko Bhi Pata Chal Gaya Ki #GurmeharKaur is speaking against the nation. Lol!"

Here's how Babita replied to KRK's tweet:
पढ़ लिख कर गद्दारी करने से अच्छा है अनपढ़ रहकर देशभक्त बने और देश के लिए खेलकर देश का नाम रोशन करे... ek bar bolo #hindustanjindabad# https://t.co/Ztc6Mhww52

Babita's sister Geeta also slammed KRK for his comments over the controversy.

While several sections reckon Gurmehar is innocent and was batting for peace between India and Pakistan, the majority has slammed her for her anti-national stand.
