ISSF World Cup: Ace Indian shooter Jitu Rai wins bronze medal in 10m air pistol event
Earlier, Heena Sidhu and Jitu Rai clinched the gold medal in the 10m Air Pistol mixed team event at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup.
New Delhi: Veteran Indian shooter Jitu Rain on Tuesday added another feather to his cap as he won a Bronze medal in 10m air pistol event of International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup.
Jitu, who earlier won a gold medal in mixed trap event, won his second medal of the tournament with a score of 216.7 in the final.
India have now taken their tally to three in the tournament.
On Monday, Ankur Mittal doubled the nation's happiness by bagging the biggest prize of his career - a silver in the men’s Double Trap event.
The 25-year old, whose father Ashok Mittal and elder brother Ajay Mittal are also renowned shotgun shooters, brought smile on several Indians' faces, who were left dissapointed with the shooting fraternity's performance at Rio Olymmpics.
