New Delhi: After Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel's alleged remark on why he would not like to expand the popular app in countries like India and Spain as they are 'poor' and that the app is primarily for rich people, a debate sparked on the social media over it.
This unsavoury statement from the CEO left the Indian users so miffed and disgusted that soon people from all walks of life expressed their displeasure over it on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.
Popular singer Adnan Sami, who became an Indian citizen after the Indian Home Ministry approved his request for legal status as a citizen of India, effective as of 1 January 2016 recently found himself embroiled in a Snapchat controversy.
Soon after Evan made this statement, a hashtag #boycottsnapchat started trending on Twitter urging users to uninstall the app. Adnan too took to Twitter and shared with his fans that he has done his bit.
What followed was a massive trolling of the singer-musician by Pakistani trollers. However, Adnan silenced them all with a perfect 'Jai Hind'.
Take a look at his tweets:
Just uninstalled #snapchat .. You guys @Snapchat can kiss our 1.2 billion 'poor' progressive bottoms!
