'Gold' revolves around the journey of a man dreaming to win India's first Gold in Hockey. The sports drama starring Akshay Kumar takes the audience back in time to witness the struggle of a team to make the nation proud.

The upcoming sports drama 'Gold' starring Akshay Kumar releases this Independence Day marking 70 years of Free India's first Gold medal at the 1948 Olympics.

The film features Akshay in the lead role with Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Vineet Kumar Singh, Amit Sadh, Sunny Kaushal playing pivotal parts. The story is set on the backdrop of India winning its first gold medal in hockey as a free nation in the 1948 Summer Olympics.

Popular television actress Mouni Roy, who shot to fame with hit show 'Naagin' will be making her Bollywood debut with this film. The movie is set to hit the screens on August 15, 2018.
