New Delhi: Indian cinema's one of the most revered actors Pran gave some memorable and path-breaking performances. The legendary star featured in as many as 350 films and even played the negative roles with utmost conviction, so much so that audience loved watching him play the anti-hero most times.
On his birth anniversary, megastar Amitabh Bachchan shared a heartfelt post on Twitter. He wrote: “Pran Saheb's birth anniversary today Feb 12th .. a prolific career, a gentle caring human .. respect and remembrance.”

Big B and Pran starred in several blockbusters together such as 'Don', 'Zanjeer' and 'Amar Akbar Anthony'.
Some of Pran's best works include Khandaan (1942) Madhumati (1958), Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai (1960), Upkar (1967), Shaheed (1965), Purab Aur Paschim (1970), Ram Aur Shyam (1967), Aansoo Ban Gaye Phool (1969), Johny Mera Naam (1970), Victoria No. 203 (1972), Be-Imaan (1972), Zanjeer (1973), Don (1978), Amar Akbar Anthony (1977) and Duniya (1984).
The noted actor was honoured with many awards. He won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award in 1967, 1969 and 1972 and was awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997.
He was honoured with 'Villain of the Millennium' by Stardust in 2000. The Government of India honoured him with the Padma Bhushan in 2001 for his contributions to the arts.
In 2013, Pran was given the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest national award for cinema artistes, by the Government of India.
On July 12, 2013 Pran,93, breathed his last at Mumbai's Lilavati hospital. He was suffering from a prolonged illness.
