Jackie Shroff named brand ambassador of Thalassemia India

Mumbai: Veteran Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff, often referred to as a style and fashion icon has become the brand ambassador of Thalassemia India.

Shroff, who has been in the industry for over three decades, has been associated with a number of social causes. 

Jackie is apparently very actively involved in creating awareness about Thalassemia because of an incident that happened in his life.

According to a report in dnaindia.com, a source said, “The Shroffs were told that their child may have been one of those who could have gotten this condition had it not been for timely diagnosis and help. God was kind and their daughter managed to pull through. However, the cause itself has been close to Jackie’s heart and so when the opportunity to sign on as the brand ambassador of Thalassemia India came to him, Jackie agreed.’
