Jayalalithaa's supporters from across the globe are praying for her. Large crowds have also started gathering outside the hospital. Police have been deployed outside the hospital. Tamil Nadu's security has also been beefed up by the forces.

New Delhi: Bollywood veteran Rishi Kapoor on Sunday expressed concern over the current of  Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's health. The 68-year-old politician suffered a cardiac arrest a few hours back and now she is being treated by a team of specialists at Apollo Hospitals.

"Prayers for Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalitha ji's health. Remember her warmth along with MGR sahab when I met them at AVM Studio 1974 Chennai," Rishi tweeted.

However, her condition is still said to be critical.

Police have been deployed outside the hospital to take control of the situation. Tamil Nadu's security has also been beefed up by the forces.
