Shah Rukh Khan receives 24th Crystal Award at World Economic Forum, powers a brilliant speech-Watch video
The king of romance took to Twitter and thanked the Forum.
New Delhi: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan added yet another feather in his cap as he received the 24th Crystal Award at World Economic Forum along with Hollywood actress Cate Blanchett and Elton John respectively.
SRK not only made the country proud with this big honour but also delivered a powerful speech at the stage where who's who of the world were seated under one roof.
The king of romance took to Twitter and thanked the Forum for conferring this honour upon him. Also, he shared the video of the whole event.

He stressed upon the need to respect women and talked about Meer Foundation, an organisation that works extensively towards empowering women subjected to acid attack. He mentioned that he feels blessed to have been nurtured and brought up well by the women in his life—wife, sister and daughter.
He said, “I am genuinely and deeply grateful for this honour and it is indeed a privilege to be in the company of two phenomenal and extraordinary human beings and talent -- Cate Blanchette and Sir Elton John.
"She is of course the lady who commands the wind and you sir command the song of a billion hearts, including mine," Shah Rukh said in his speech.
He signed off saying, “I want to thank my sister, wife and my little daughter for bringing me up well and teaching me the value of requesting, sometimes imploring and sometimes even begging a yes from a women instead of forcing on her," he said before wrapping up his speech with a "Namaskar" and "Jai Hind".
A lot of celebrities congratulated the superstar on the micro-blogging site for being honoured with this big award.
On the professional front SRK will be next seen in Aanand L Rai's 'Zero' where he plays a dwarf. It stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif besides SRK in the lead role.
