New Delhi: Veteran actress Sridevi is all geared up for the release of her next big project titled 'MOM'. The film looks like a revenge drama from the trailer/promos and the actress is busy promoting it these days.
But there is one question which is haunting her in almost every interview. Why did she refuse to star in magnum opus 'Baahubali'? Well, although the real reason is not known to anyone except the actress and the makers, the latest buzz right now is that Sridevi is upset with SS Rajamouli's statement.
According to BollywoodLife.com, Sridevi in an interview with Mid-Day talked about how she felt hurt by Rajamouli's statement about her rejecting the offer to play Sivagami. She has been quoted as saying, “I was shocked and hurt by his interview. Rajamouli is a calm and dignified person. I was very happy to (have got a chance to) work with him. But, the way he spoke about the issue made me feel very sad.”
“People would have sent me packing if I was like that. I don’t know if the producer wrongly told Rajamouli that I made all these demands but it is not in good taste to speak like this.”
Sridevi's role was later played by Ramya Krishnan in the blockbuster franchise 'Baahubali'.
