New Delhi: The Ministry of Women and Child Development on Monday warned against spurious schemes offering cash incentives and collecting confidential information of people and duping them in the name of Beti Bacho Beti Padao scheme.

“It has come to our notice that certain unauthorised Organisations, individuals are distributing forms in the name of cash incentives under Beti Bacho Beti Padao”.


The ministry further added that please note that Beti Bacho Beti Padao is not a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme. If any such incident comes to your notice, please report it to the nearest Police Station or the Distt. Collector/Magistrate concerned.


Please do not fall in trap to any fraud in the name of Beti Bacho Beti Padao. Do not share your personal details in this regard, added the ministry's tweet.


The ministry  further added that FIRs have already been filed by District Magistrates of Meerut and Muzzafarnagar in Uttar Pradesh in this regard.
