New Delhi: Audi India, on Wednesday (September 9) opened the bookings for Audi e-tron GT, the electric four-wheeler which is pegged as the first performance-oriented electric offering by the automobile brand.
The Audi e-tron GT is going to be Audi India’'s second electric car offering in the country. In the global markets, the car is selling in two variants: a standard model and an RS trim. Customers can book the car by paying Rs 10 lakh upfront.
Audi India e-tron GT is expected to be launched at an ex-showroom price of about Rs 1 crore by the end of September 2021.
The Audi e-tron is powered by a 95kWh battery pack. With DC fast charging in place, the battery could be charged from 10% to 80% in less than 30 minutes. Woah! That’s fast.
On a full single charge, the luxury car offers a maximum WLTP range of 488km, according to tall claims made by the German automobile firm. The motor of the car is expected offer a maximum power of 476PS to 598PS and a peak torque of 630Nm to 830Nm, depending on the variant.
With the bookings for the luxury sedan already open, the launch date shouldn’t be that far. Reports suggest that the Audi e-tron GT launch is expected to happen on September 22.
Audi e-tron sports two screens on the dashboard - one for the driver and the other for multimedia infotainment, missing out on the third climate control display packed with the e-tron electric SUV. The luxurious electric four-wheeler also gets a panoramic glass roof.
Audi e-tron GT is going to be the second electric car in Audi India’s lineup. The electric sedan is expected to give a tough time to the likes of Mercedes-Benz EQC and Jaguar I-Pace. The car is also likely to pit against other Audi e-tron models.
