Benelli Imperiale 400 price reduced by 10,000; check specs, features

Benelli has announced a price reduction for its classic-modern motorcycle Imperiale 400. The bike is priced at Rs. 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom) which is 10,000 lesser than before.

The company has said that the reduction in price is the result of increased localisation and improvement in the value of the rupee against the dollar.

The bike remains the same and does not get any updates over the existing model.

The locks its horns against the likes of Royal Enfield 350, Jawa, Honda H'ness CB350.

Imperiale 400 is the company's most affordable bike. Imperiale 400 gets retro styling which is its unique selling point.

Imperiale 400 gets a peanut-shaped fuel tank, a straight handlebar and a classic round headlamp. 

The indicators too are styled in retro style and the bike gets ample amount of chrome all over it.

Benelli Imperiale 400 is available in three shades which includes Red, Grey and Black.

Benelli Imperiale 400 gets a twin-pod instrument cluster which is part analogue, part digital. The instrument cluster shows important information and gets backlit baked in it. 

The bike gets dual-channel Anti-Lock braking System (ABS). The bike gets double-cradle frame with steel tubes and plates.

The bike gets a premium fit and finish all over.

Imperiale 400 is powered by a 347cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, four-valves, SOHC engine. 

The engine gets 72.7mm Bore and 90mm Stroke with a compression ration of 8.5:1.

The engine churns out 21PS of power at 6000rpm and 29Nm peak torque at 3500rpm. The bike gets fuel-injection technology.

The bike is BS6 compliant and gets an exhaust system with catalytic converter and oxygen sensors. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Benelli Imperiale 400 gets 41mm Telescopic suspension at the front and 65mm pre-load adjustable shock absorber at the rear.

The bike has 300mm disc brake at the front along with ABS. The rear gets 240mm single disc brake at the rear with ABS.

The bike gets 19-inch spoked rims at the front and 18-inch spoked rims at the rear.

The bike gets front tyre size of 100/90-19 and rear tyre size of 130/80-18.

Benelli Imperiale 400 gets a ground clearance of 165mm. The bike has a wheelbase of 1440mm. 

Kerb weight stands at 205 Kg. The bike is 2170mm in length, 820 mm in width and 1120 mm in height with pillion height at 780mm.

The bike is agile and nimble. The smooth engine, comfortable seating posture makes it an ideal choice for long-distance cruising.
