Tesla owner Elon Musk, who is currently most talked about in the news because of his growing interest in cryptocurrencies also has a space exploration company called SpaceX which offers a satellite-based internet service called Starlink. Starlink is now allowing users to pre-order the service.
Here are all the details related to Starlink:
Starlink, a unique project of his private space company SpaceX is a satellite-based internet service and it is in the beta-testing phase. In the Starlink project, the company can provide internet services to any corner of the world through satellite.
Visit the Starlink’s website and enter your email and the address of the area where you want the internet service.
After that, you will get a message informing you of a certain timeframe. We tried for several areas in Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida and got the message, “Starlink is targeting coverage in your area in 2022.”
You will be required to fill the address of an area and not the city. For example, if you enter Mumbai or New Delhi, you won’t get to know a relative timeframe. So you will have to enter an exact area of a city.
The pre-booking service cost is around $99 (around Rs 7,200) and the amount is fully refundable and Starlink is making it clear that even after paying the deposit amount “service is not guaranteed.”
Few reports suggest that Starlink Kit comes with a router, antenna, mount and power supply cable.
