Young Liu, 66, is like the big boss of Hon Hai Technology Group, also known as FOXCONN. FOXCONN is the biggest company that makes electronics and helps with science and technology stuff all around the world. Young Liu is the one who looks after all of it. He has around $5 billion.
Liu got a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1986. Earlier, in 1978, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrophysics from Taiwan’s National Chiao Tung University.

As the leader, he decides where the company should go and plans how to get there. He follows a strategy called the 3+3 strategy, which means focusing on three big areas of business and three important technologies. The three areas of business are Electric Vehicles, Digital Health, and Robotics. The three important technologies are Artificial Intelligence, Semiconductors (computer chips), and Next-generation communication technologies.
Liu started three companies: first, a company that made computer parts called Young Micro Systems in 1988; then, a company focused on designing chips for computer parts like northbridge and southbridge ICs called ITE Tech in 1995; and finally, a company that designed chips for ADSL (a type of internet connection) called ITeX in 1997. Young Micro Systems joined Foxconn in 1994, and ITeX became a successful public company on NASDAQ in 2001.
