Jeep Commander is said to be based on the Jeep Compass. However, with the official photos now out in public, one can clearly see major differences in the design of both cars. The car appears to be inspired by the Jeep Cherokee L. For instance, both cars probably share the same swept-back grille design. Moreover, the full-LED set-up of the headlamps of the Commander also appears quite similar to the Grand Cherokee.

The Jeep Commander SUV’s dashboard shares a lot of similarities with the Jeep Compass. However, with the new metal inserts and upholstery, the Commander’s interiors definitely look more premium.

Jeep has used the suede fabric on the dashboard and door panels to give the Commander SUV an even more premium look. Brown leather seats, 10.25-inch infotainment system, upholstery, and the ‘Jeep 1941’ branding in the armrest add to the appealing look of the upcoming car.

The upcoming SUV is bigger in size than its peers, as it measures 4,769mm x 1,859mm in width x 1,682mm. With a wheelbase of 158mm, the Commander is also longer than Compass or other Jeep cars for that matter.
