Skoda Auto India has unveiled the Slavia in India, marking the global debut of India's newest sedan, that will replace the ageing Rapid sedan. The mid-size sedan will go up against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Honda City among others and will go on sale in 2022, with deliveries to begin in Q1. Like Kushaq, the Slavia is based on the company's aspirational made-for-India MQB A0 IN platform, that also underpins the Taigun. Skoda Slavia has the biggest wheelbase and width in the segment that gives it a fresh road presence, making it look big and sculpted. It is being offered with the same set of engines as the Skoda Kushaq, with an identical cabin as well. Bookings for the Skoda Slavia is now open.
