Ever since Chinese smartphones like Xiaomi, Realme, OnePlus and more entered the Indian market, it destroyed the existence of several brands like Micromax, LeEco, LG and many others. These smartphones are available at cheaper rates and given the fact that there are so many options to choose from, a lot of smartphones experienced natural death, while others were swallowed by Chinese brands.
Here’s a quick look at some of the smartphones that are no more found in India:
Micromax’s sub brand YU entered the market to take on Xiaomi but it couldn’t cope up with the pressure from Chinese smartphone brands.
Alcatel never even made an impression to Indian buyers and they never even sustained for a while in India.
This once used to be a popular brand when it comes to budget smartphones but couldn’t survive the heat from other brands.
HTC faced the wrath from Chinese smartphone brands which eventually led to its decline and closure. It, however, tried to come back in 2019 again but nothing worked in their favour.
LG shut down its mobile business in 2021 as it faced huge losses. However, it had promised to continue extending support and software updates to its existing smartphones.
