Before the new Celerio was launched in India, it was the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R CNG with most mileage rated at 32.52 km/ kg. The Wagon R is powered by a 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that churns out 56.2 hp of power and 78 Nm of peak torque.

The only other car apart from Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai on the list is one from Tata Motors. It is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally-aspirated, bi-fuel petrol engine that churns out 72 hp of power and 95 Nm of peak torque.

Last on out list is the newly launched Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV. The biggest car in the list is a 7 seater vehicle and offers a mileage of 26.08 km/ kg which is pretty impressive for a vehicle of this size. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine that churns out 90 hp of power and 122 Nm of peak torque.
