New Delhi: TVS Motor Company on Saturday (August 7) announced a hike in the prices of the TVS Jupiter scooter. The Indian multinational automotive company has increased the prices of all five variants of the 110cc scooter.
The increases in the prices range from Rs 736 for the base model and go up to Rs 2,336 for the ZX trim variant. With the revision in the prices, TVS Jupiter’s starting ex-showroom price stands at Rs 65,673.
The base model of TVS Jupiter which is the sheet metal wheel variant is now selling at an ex-showroom price of Rs 65,673. The standard variant of the TVS Jupiter 110 is now priced at Rs 67,398 while the ZX Drum model’s ex-showroom price has been increased to Rs 71,973.
The ex-showroom prices of the ZX Disc and the Classic variant has been increased by TVS to Rs 75,773 and Rs 75,743, respectively.
TVS Jupiter comes with an Ecothrust Fuel injection (ET-Fi) technology which is said to be improving the bike’s milage by about 15%. The feature also helps the bike gets additional stability.
You also get a charging option for mobiles with the bike. Customers also get a front utility box along with a semi-digital console available with select variants.
The TVS Jupiter 110cc gets its power from a 109.7cc engine. The air-cooled engine is said to be capable of notching a peak power of 7.37bhp and a maximum torque of 8.4Nm.
The two-wheeler sports a 12-inch wheel. The automaker offers different braking systems such as the disc-drum combo and drums depending on the variant. The bike, which weighs about 107kg, comes with a 6-litre fuel tank. TVS Jupiter offers 21 litres of under-seat storage.
At the price point of about Rs 60,000 to Rs 75,000, the TVS Jupiter gives a tough competition of a few fuel-based two-wheelers such as the Honda Activa 125, Honda Activa 6G and Hero Maestro Edge 110, among others.
