New Delhi: The big tech companies’ CEOs draw huge salaries and therefore, it becomes a talking point for everyone. Currently, Wipro CEO Thierry Delaporte has become the talk of the town as his salary increased to a total of $10.51 million (Rs 79.8 crore) in FY22. This has made him one of the highest paid executives in the Indian IT sector.
Tech Mahindra’s CP Mahindra got a remuneration of $2.83 million.
HCL CEO C Vijayakumar earned $4.15 million in FY21.
In FY22, TCS CEO Rajesh Gopinathan received a compensation package of almost Rs 25.8 crore.
Salil Parekh, the CEO of Infosys, received a total salary of Rs 71.02 crore in FY 2021-22.
Wipro's CEO earned $1.74 million in salary and allowances, $2.55 million in commissions and variable pay, and $4.2 million in additional benefits. The rest was made up of long-term compensation or deferred benefits.
Wipro CEO Delaporte's yearly remuneration was allegedly Rs 64.3 crore ($8.7 million) in the previous fiscal year 2020-21; the compensation was for nine months because he joined the company in July 2020.
