New laws mandating safety devices have led to the introduction of many newer and safer vehicles on the Indian market compared to the year 2014, when Global NCAP conducted its first crash tests and the results were dismal. We had our first 5-star rated model in 2018 with the Tata Nexon and in 2021, we also have a made-in-India EV which scored a 4 star rating. In fact, we now have multiple India-made 5 and 4 star vehicles, proving how carmakers and buyers are taking vehicle safety as an important factor while buying a new vehicle. This article looks at the top 10 safest cars available in the Indian market right now.
