Feroz Khan, who swayed everyone with his powerful style and persona, delivered many hits over the course of his career such as Aurat, Upaasna, Apradh, Kala Sona, Dharmatma, and Qurbani. For his exemplary performances and directorial ventures, he was given the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 200. The actor passed away on 27 April 2009 at the age of 69.
After late veteran actor Feroz Khan made his mark as an actor, he went on to producing and directing films. He had directed the 1975 film Dharmatma in which he also starred along with Hema Malini. It was the first Indian film to be shot in Afghanistan and was heavily influenced by the American film 'The Godfather'.

Although his filmy career kickstarted in the early 1960s, he only gained recognition in the early 70s. Feroz Khan won his first Filmfare award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for the film Aadmi Aur Insaan in 1969.

The biggest hit of his career was the 1980 film 'Qurbani' co-starring Vinod Khanna, Zeenat Aman. Along with acting, he had produced and directed the film as well. It is best known for its iconic song 'Aap Jaisa Koi' sung by Pakistani pop singer Nazia Hassan who shot to fame after the song.

Feroz Khan had launched his son Fardeen Khan in films with the Bollywood flick 'Prem Aggan' in 1998. However, the movie tanked at the box office. Later, he shared screen space with his son Fardeen in the 2003 film Janasheen. It was the last film he directed.

His last silver screen appearance was in the 2007 comedy film 'Welcome' which starred Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, Mallika Sherawat and Nana Patekar.
