Big B will next be seen in Nagraj Popatrao Manjule’s upcoming sports film 'Jhund', which is based on the life of Vijay Barse, the founder of NGO Slum Soccer. It is slated for theatrical release on June 18.
He is also set to appear in Ayan Mukerji's action-fantasy 'Brahmastra', alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt which is expected to be released this year. The film also stars Mouni Roy, Dimple Kapadia and Nagarjuna Akkineni in pivotal roles and will serve as the first film in a planned trilogy.
Amitabh will also be seen in 'Chehre', which will arrive in theatres on April 30, 2021. An upcoming mystery-thriller film, it also stars Krystle D'Souza, Siddhanth Kapoor, Annu Kapoor, Dhritiman Chatterjee and Raghubir Yadav. It was initially scheduled for worldwide release in July 2020, but got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
That's not all, the 78-year-old actor began shooting for Ajay Devgn's directorial on 'MayDay' in December 2020. As per reports, the movie will be released on April 29, 2022.
Amitabh Bachchan may also be seen in 'Butterfly', a Kannada-language comedy-drama. It will be directed by Ramesh Aravind and produced by Ramesh Aravind. According to reports, the film is remake of the 2014 Hindi film Queen by Vikas Bahl. However, an official confirmation on the same remains awaited.
