Bob Wells, a nomad who played himself in the movie, has been on the road for the last 12 years. He has his own YouTube channel called Cheap RV Living where he gives budgeting tips on living in a van and leading a nomadic lifestyle.
According to reports, the production team and cast of Nomadland lived in vans throughout the shooting of the movie.
Nomadland was created by a small crew of 25 people that travelled together for five months and visited over seven U.S states, as per a report by Variety.
