Akshay Kumar sports a brand new look for his debut Tamil film.

Rajinikanth's 2.0 marks the Tamil movie debut of Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar. It will be Akshay's first association with megastar and legendary actor Rajinikanth aka Thalaiva. The hunk of an actor will reportedly essay the main villain in the film which stars British actress Amy Jackson as the female lead.

The film directed by Shankar is produced by Lyca Productions. The teaser of the film will be unveiled on September 13, on the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi.

Rajinikanth will be back as Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti.

Directed by Shankar, 2.0 is a sequel to 2010 blockbuster Enthiran (Robot) which had Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on board as the leading lady. 2.0 also stars Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey.

Akshay sports a spooky look for the film.

They even lifted a 100-foot-tall hot air balloon with images of the characters of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar in the film. Images of the hot air balloon flying over the iconic Hollywood signage in Los Angeles were released.
