PM Narendra Modi at 71: When his sartorial choices made for iconic fashion moments! - In Pics

Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrates his 71st birthday on Friday (September 17). On this special occasion, we take a look at his sense of style won hearts and created fashion statements.

In this picture from Independence Day 2021, PM Modi donned an orange turban and a light blue Nehru jacket over a white kurta - representing parts of our national flag.

In this photo clicked at the BJP HQ, he went for the statement Nehru jacket but with a chequered pattern on them. He paired the outfit with a white kurta and a beautiful beige shawl with floral patterns on it.

Last year, PM Modi was clicked at the Bhoomi Pujan of the Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya. For the event, he wore a yellow kurta with a shaded scarf which was a mix of bright yellow and orange.

On one of the Republic Days, he donned a dark blue Nehru jacket over a light blue kurta. Along with the outfit, he wore an orange turban with red diamond-shaped designs on it.

PM Modi had travelled to Kedarnath and wore an outfit resembling Lord Shiva's characteristic black and yellow-striped pattern. He wore a long grey outfit with an orange cloth tied around his waist. The shawl on his left shoulder is reminiscent of the pattern worn by Lord Shiva.

In this pic, PM Modi rocks an orange kurta and matches it with a white and orange striped scarf. The outfit is simple but the way he carries himself in it is what makes all the difference.

In a break from his usual bright colours, PM Modi opted for a black Nehru jacket and a golden kurta underneath. He balanced the bold colours with white leggings.
