She was among the first ones whose surgery went wrong and drew a lot of flak online. In an interview with Aaj Tak, she opened up about the aftermath of the surgery. "Whatever it was, it was my decision. It is my face and my life, why should people have a problem with that?" She added, "When I came here, I did not know that one must not speak about one's surgery. Someone asked me, and I talked about my surgery. Soon after that, it felt like the entire world came after me. I was tortured for my surgery for three long years. Constantly, the media ran negative news items about me. Many people from the industry also distanced themselves from me at the time and it also affected my work. I feel like laughing because people would advise me to stay strong, but not support me in front of the media."

'Wanted' actress Ayesha Takia was trolled massively on social media for her new look in which she appeared to have fuller lips and cheeks. She reacted to the trolls with a picture on Instagram, where she shared a motivational quote from famous American burlesque dancer and model Dita Von Teese. “You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world and there’s still going to be someone in the world who hates peaches,” it read.

The actress faced criticism over her alleged nose job. In 2023, the actress opened up about her botched up nose surgery. She appeared on an episode of The Howard Stern Show and explained that she had a botched nose surgery in the early 2000s after doctors recommended she have a polyp in her nasal cavity removed.

"This thing happens, and my face looks completely different, and I went into a deep, deep depression," Chopra Jonas said, adding that she was later fired from three different movies and thought her acting career "was over before it started."

The actress ended up getting multiple corrective surgeries to fix the damage that was done during the polypectomy.

The leggy lass faced massive trolled after Befikre. Netizens compared her looks from her debut movie Shuddh Desi Romance and several claims about her alleged lip job and facelift were made online. 

The talented star's fuller lips in Anurag Kashyap's 'Bombay Velvet' made her the centre of a troll attack. She appeared on the Koffee With Karan episode, and viewers noticed it and unleashed a meme fest too. Later, Anushka had released this statement, “For a short while now I have been using a temporary lip enhancing tool and that along with make-up techniques (I have learnt over the years) is the reason why there might be a change in the appearance of my lips. I have by no means gone ‘under the knife’ or done any kind of ‘plastic surgery’ or undergone any intrusive procedure.”
