Sridevi who breathed her last on February 24, 2018, has left her fans with a huge cinematic legacy to remember her by. From her dual role in Chaalbaaz to her strong comeback in English Vinglish, she has always aced all her performances.
The 1989 film Chandini featured our beloved Sridevi in the main role as Chandni. She is at the center of the movie and torn between two lovers played by Rishi Kapoor and Vinod Khanna. The film, directed and co-produced by Yash Chopra, was a big hit at the box office and Sridevi's performance was especially praised by critics.

In this iconic 1989 film, Sridevi plays the double role of two sisters Anju and Manju. The film is loosely inspired by an older flick Seeta Aur Geeta revolves around the story of sisters separated at birth. Both the roles were played by Sridevi. In the film, Anju lives a dreadful life under the control of her abusive uncle and Manju is a rebel against the patriarchal society. The movie is directed by Pankaj Parashar.

A lovely epic romance between Bollywood superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi - this film will live on in her fan's hearts forever. The film, directed by Mukul S. Anand, revolved around Badshah Khan who travels from Afghanistan to India for love. He wants to impress Benazir played by Sridevi and achieves that by searching for the man who killed her father.

Moving on to the late nineties, Sridevi was still ruling Bollywood. In 1997, she starred in Raj Kanwar directorial Judaai co-starring Anil Kapoor and Urmila Matondkar.
The plot revolves around a destitute couple Kajal played by Sridevi and Raj played by Anil Kapoor. To gain wealth, Kajal suggests Raj marry his boss's niece Janhvi in hopes of gaining her money. The film takes off from there onto interesting twists and turns. Unfortunately, this film was Sridevi's last film before her 15-year break from films.

The 2012 film English Vinglish was a huge moment for Sridevi as it marked her comeback after a long sabbatical. In the film, Sridevi plays the role of a mother Shashi who is an entrepreneur. However, at home, she's often mocked by her family for her broken English. This is why she decides to enroll in an English-speaking class. The movie takes her through her magical journey of self-love and confidence.

This gritty thriller was unfortunately the last time we saw Sridevi on-screen. In the 2017 film Mom, she had played a mother who hatches a plot to avenge her stepdaughter who was sexually assaulted at a party. At the 65th National Film Awards, Sridevi posthumously won the award for Best Actress.
