The Black Lives Matter trend started after an incident of police brutality in America after George Floyd was killed. It saw people outraged and protesting against the racially motivated violence against black people and later became a beacon for all the different races that suffer from discrimination. Seen on countless accounts, this challenge was an initiative to raise awareness and support women no matter who they are or where they are from. The trend started in Turkey during a protest against Femicide which is the abuse and murder of masses of women. It left us with a sense of responsibility towards protecting and supporting the women in our lives and around us.
