Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo and former Uttar Pradesh CM Mulayam Singh Yadav died at the age of 82. The SP supremo was under treatment at Gurugram's Medanta hospital since August 22.
In a series of tweets, PM Modi remembered the Samajwadi leader as a "remarkable personality."
Talking about his memories with Mulayam Singh, the Prime Minister said, "I had many interactions with Mulayam Singh Yadav Ji when we served as Chief Ministers of our respective states."
PM Modi expressed sorrow over Mulayam Singh Yadav's death. He wrote on Twitter, "His demise pains me. Condolences to his family and lakhs of supporters. Om Shanti."
