New Delhi: As India is grappling with the second wave of deadly COVID-19, several states and Union Territories have put in place coronavirus-induced lockdown or curfew to curb the spread of the virus.
India has been recording more four lakh new COVID-19 infections from the past four days now. The country on Sunday (May 9, 2021) reported over 4,03,738 new infections and 4,092 deaths in the last 24 hours.
Here is the list of states, Union Territory which are going to impose or extend lockdown or corona curfew from Monday (May 10, 2021):
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a press conference on Sunday (May 9, 2021) announced that the lockdown in the national capital is being extended for seven more days to curb the spread of coronavirus.
The lockdown in Delhi will now remain in place till 5 AM on May 17. Earlier, CM Arvind Kejriwal had first imposed a complete lockdown in the national capital on April 19 which was later extended on April 25 and May 1 respectively.

The Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday (May 9, 2021) decided to extend the partial corona curfew in the state till May 17.
Earlier, the UP authorities had imposed a partial curfew in the state on April 29, which was later extended till 7 am on May 10.

The Haryana government on Sunday (May 9, 2021) announced extending the COVID-induced lockdown in the state by a week till May 17.
Making the announcement on Twitter, Home and Health Minister Anil Vij said that stringent measures will be taken to contain the spread of coronavirus infections in the state.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration extended the ‘corona curfew’ for a week in all 20 districts of the UT in view of the worrisome surge in COVID-19 cases.
The curfew will now last till 7 am on May 17.
“Corona Curfew imposed in all 20 districts of J&K till 7 am on Monday, 10/5/21 is extended further by 7 days till 7 am on Monday, 17/5/21. The curfew will be strict except for a few essential services,” the administration said in a tweet on DIPR handle.

The Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government on Thursday (May 6, 2021) announced a complete lockdown in the state. The lockdown will come to force from 5:00 am of May 10 till 5:00 am of May 24.
Rajasthan has completely banned all kinds of gatherings in the state till May 24. It has also suspended all marriages in the state, adding that weddings will be allowed only after May 31.

Puducherry authorities on Saturday (May 8, 2021) announced that the Union Territory will go under a 14-day complete lockdown, starting from Monday midnight (May 10, 2021).
The administration of the Union Territory added that the decision is being taken to break the chain of transmission and to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Newly sworn-in Chief Minister MK Stalin on Saturday (May 8, 2021) announced a state-wide lockdown in Tamil Nadu from 4 am on May 10 to 24.
To prepare for this lockdown, all shops and establishments are being permitted to function on May 8 to 9 (Saturday and Sunday) from 6 am to 9 pm.

BS Yediurappa-led Karnataka government on Friday (May 7, 2021) announced that it will be imposing a complete 14-day long statewide lockdown.
Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, while making the announcement, disclosed that this complete statewide lockdown will remain in place from May 10 to May 24. However, the essential services will be permitted to operate, during the lockdown, from 6 am to 10 am.
