New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued fresh weather updates on Thursday (August 26, 2021). The Met department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in many states this week.
The Met department has issued a yellow alert for Kerala today, while isolated places in Madhya Pradesh will witness heavy rains.

The national capital is likely to receive light rain or thundershowers towards the evening, the India Meteorological Department said. The minimum temperature was recorded at 25.3 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 34 degrees Celsius, it said.
IMD also predicted light to moderate rainfall in parts of UP. “Light to moderate intensity rain would occur over Raya, Mathura, Sadabad, Agra (U.P), Bharatpur (Rajasthan) and adjoining areas during the next 2 hours,” IMD tweeted.
IMD issued an orange alert for Sunday in nine districts and a yellow alert for the rest as incessant rains lashed Kerala. "Strong wind speed reaching 40-50 Kmph gusting to 60 Kmph is likely over the South-west and West central Arabian sea. Fishermen are advised NOT TO venture into these sea areas,” the IMD warned.
The weather department has predicted heavy rains in isolated places in MP including Vidisha, Sagar, Betul, Chhindwara and Balaghat district. "A monsoon trough passing through Gwalior and Sidhi districts in the state is causing rain. Monsoon activity is expected to continue over the next week. With this, MP is in for a third wet spell in August," PTI quoted IMD Bhopal's senior meteorologist PK Saha as saying.
According to weather updates issued by the India Meteorological Department, Nizamabad, Medak, Kamareddy, Asifabad and Kothagudem districts and other parts of the State are very likely to receive heavy rainfall on Monday (August 30, 2021) and Tuesday (August 31, 2021).
