Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the new integrated terminal building of Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Tripura's Agartala. The new world-class terminal is built at Rs 450 crores and has been designed keeping in mind the culture and heritage of the land, says Airport Authority of India. The development of the airport will give impetus to the trade, industry and economy of the North Eastern region. The airport is the only domestic airport in the state and connects it with other North East states along with multiple other cities across India.
