New Delhi: On the occasion of the seventh International Yoga Day, political leaders in India on Monday (June 21, 2021) practiced yoga to mark the day.
Emphasizing on the theme of International Yoga Day 2021 ‘Yoga for Wellbeing’, many political leaders took it to their social media to share and urge the people of the nation to practice yoga.

President Ram Nath Kovind performs yoga at Rashtrapati Bhavan, on International Yoga Day.
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu performs Yoga in Delhi with his wife Usha to mark 7th International Yoga Day. "My greetings to all Indians on the occasion of the International Yoga Day. I appeal to people to make Yoga a part of your daily life," says Vice President.
Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan performs Yoga at Maharaja Agrasen Park, on International Yoga Day.
Union Minister of Sports and Minister of State for Ayush, Kiren Rijiju shared warm greeting on the occasion and said, “Yoga not only improves overall health and immunity but also contributes to a quicker recovery of patients from diseases. In the current scenario where large sections of the population are enduring stress and anxiety-related challenges due to COVID-19, Yoga offers effective solutions.”

Indian Army organized a Yoga session in Poonch on the occasion of International Yoga Day. "I thank Durga Battalion for celebrating International Yoga Day with us. Children also participated in the session. It was a learning experience," says a local Riyaz Ahmed.
Union Culture Ministry & Tourism Ministry organized International Yoga Day 2021 under the 'Yoga is an Indian Heritage' theme at Kanheri Caves in Mumbai. Kanheri Caves is among 75 monuments that have been identified for holding a ‘common yoga protocol’ to mark the day.
