In a significant effort to enhance urban mobility in the region, the Prime Minister inaugurated the BKC to Aarey JVLR section of Mumbai Metro Line 3, which costs approximately Rs 14,120 crore.
Mumbai Metro Line 3 is a vital public transport initiative aimed at enhancing connectivity between Mumbai city and its suburbs. Once fully operational, Line 3 is expected to accommodate around 1.2 million passengers daily.
This section will feature 10 stations, with 9 of them located underground.
Reportedly, the minimum fare on the line will be Rs 10 and the maximum goes to 50.
According to the reports, first train will start operations at 6:30 AM and the last train will run at 10:30 PM but on Sundays, the first service will begin at 8:30 AM.
