Congress leader Sheila Dikshit, also three-time Delhi CM, died on Saturday afternoon at a hospital in the national capital due to cardiac arrest. She was 81. President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other top leaders mourned her death.
PM Modi also arrived at her residence to pay his last respect to Sheila Dikshit. Remembering her 'noteworthy contribution to Delhi's development', PM Modi wrote on Twitter, "Deeply saddened by the demise of Sheila Dikshit Ji. Blessed with a warm and affable personality, she made a noteworthy contribution to Delhi’s development. Condolences to her family and supporters. Om Shanti."
