January 30, 2021 marked the 73rd death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. From Prime Minister Nardenra Modi to President Ram Nath Kovind, several leaders, state heads paid tribute to the Father of the Nation on Saturday. This day is also observed as Martyrs Day to commemorate Bapu.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his Punya Tithi at Raj Ghat in Delhi and said that we must strive towards fulfilling his dreams. He also condemned the desecration of Mahatma Gandhi’s statue in the USA this morning, saying that such an atmosphere of hate is not welcome for our planet.
