The much-awaited Rath Yatra or the famous Chariot festival at Jagannath Puri temple in Bhubaneswar, Odisha began this year on July 7. In the Temple Kitchen, 7 pots are kept on each other and food is prepared on firewood. In this process, the content in the top pot gets cooked first and then the bottom one.

The flag constantly flaps in the opposite direction of the air.

From any place in Puri, you will always find the Sudarshan Chakra facing you.

After entering Sinhadwara's first step (inside the temple), you can't hear any sound produced by the ocean but when you cross the same step (outside the temple), you can hear it. This can be noticed during the evening. 

The quantity of cooked food inside the Temple remains the same for the whole year. And interestingly, the same Prasadam quantity can feed as many as 20 lakh devotees and yet not get wasted.
