The train running between Punjab and Himachal Pradesh is called the Bhakra-Nangal train. Passengers do not have to pay any fare to travel on the Bhakra-Nangal train. Anyone can travel comfortably and fearlessly on this train. The train covers a distance of 13 km between Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. People travel from far and wide to ride this train, which operates near the Bhakra-Nangal Dam.

The Bhakra-Nangal Train operates between Bhakra and Nangal, along the Himachal Pradesh and Punjab border. This 13-kilometer journey through the Shivalik Hills crosses the Sutlej River.

People travel on this train to visit the Bhakra-Nangal Dam located on the Himachal Pradesh and Punjab border. The train passes through the Sutlej River and the Shivalik Hills. Along the way, it traverses three tunnels and six stations. The diesel-powered train has wooden coaches.
