IMD has predicted heavy rains over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka while heatwave will continue to prevail over Chhattisgarh and interior Odisha.
IMD has predicted widespread rainfall over North Eastern and Eastern India during the next 5 days. Heavy rainfalls are likely at isolated places over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, North MP aand UP. In Southern India, heavy rains are likely over Karnataka, Coastal Andha Pradesh.
According to IMD, isolated heavy rainfalls are likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh during June 22 to June 25 and on coastal and north interior Karnataka on June 24 and 25. Overall, Southern India is very likely to witness light to moderate rainfall during the next five days.
Uttar Pradesh is very likely to witness heavy rainfalls during next two days, said IMD in its weather bulletin.
According to IMD heatwave conditions are likely to continue in isolated pockets over Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and interior Odisha on June 22.
IMD has predicted extremely heavy rainfall over Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya on June 22 and very heavy falls over Odisha June 23 and June 24.
IMD in its daily weather bulletin said that West, Central and South India will witness a fall in maximum temperature of 2 to 4 degrees celsius after 24 hours while temperatures are very likely to drop by 3-4 degrees in Eastern India during next 4-5 days.
