Gudi Padwa, the Maharashtrian New Year, is celebrated with great fervour, marking the onset of spring and harvest. Traditional dresses play a significant role in this celebration, with women adorning themselves in vibrant paithani sarees, intricately embroidered and paired with traditional jewellery like Naths, bangles, and jhumkas. Men typically wear kurta pyjamas or dhotis with phetas (traditional Maharashtrian turbans).
