The Volvo C40 Recharge will be sold alongside the XC40 Recharge, and the bookings for this coupe electric SUV will open in August this year.
The C40 Recharge takes a rather sporty approach for the design with a coupe-ish profile. It certainly looks alluring, and it isn't as boxy or upright as the XC40 Recharge.
The 78 kWh battery pack powers two motors for a permanent AWD layout. The peak power and torque outputs stand at 402 Hp and 660 Nm. While top speed is limited at 180 kmph, the 0-100 kmph sprint takes 4.7 seconds.
The aero alloy wheels on the Volvo C40 Recharge measure 19 inches in diameter, and they help in delivering the car a WLTP range of 530 kilometres.
The familiar design for the dashboard is offered with a 9-inch portrait-style touchscreen and 12-inch all-digital instrument cluster.
The cabin of the Volvo C40 Recharge is done with recycled material and is 100 per cent leather-free. It gets a fixed panoramic sunroof and dual-zone climate control as well.
Under the bonnet, a 31-litre frunk is available in the Volvo C40 Recharge that can be used to stow away the charging cable or other stuff.
The C40 Recharge offers a boot space of 430 litres, however, a space saver spare wheel eats up some portion of it.
