The Pulsar NS160 is priced at Rs 1.35 lakh, ex-showroom. The motorcycle rivals the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Yamaha MT-15.
The powerplant on the NS160 is a single-cylinder oil-cooled unit, which produces 17.2 PS of peak power and 14.6 Nm of max torque. It is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. The larger Pulsar NS200, on the other hand, uses a liquid-cooled unit, putting out 24.5 PS against 18.7 Nm, and it gets a 6-speed gearbox.
Brakes on these motorcycles are now assisted via a dual-channel ABS unit, which comes as a standard affair. Rims are now borrowed from the Pulsar N250.
The Pulsar NS160 is claimed to offer a mileage of 45 kmpl, whereas the larger NS200 will return 37 kilometres to a litre of fuel. Also, graphics and decals on the motorcycles have changed too.
The instrument cluster's design remains unchanged in the updated form, but these motorcycles will now come with readout for distance to empty, and fuel consumption.
