Sunrisers Hyderabad speedster Umran Malik has taken the IPL by storm by bowling the fastest delivery in this season of the tournament. The Jammu and Kashmir pacer is constantly clocking 150 KMPH and on Thursday against SRH, he bowled 157 KMPH ball. However, Umran is not yet the fastest bowler in the history of IPL.
Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Umran Malik clocked 154.80 kmph in the 50th match of IPL 2022 against Delhi Capitals on Thursday.
In the same match, Umran bowled a delivery which was recorded at speed of 155.60 kmph.
Delhi Capitals pacer Anrich Nortje has bowled the third-fastest ball in the history of IPL. Nortje was retained by DC ahead of Kagiso Rabad. Nortje could not feature in first few games due to an injury.
Featuring the third time in the list of fastest bowlers in IPL, Umran Malik, bowled a 157 kmph ball against Delhi Capitals' Rovman Powell. The DC batter smashed it for a boundary.
Former Australian pacer Shaun Tait is at the top of the list for bowling the fastest ball in IPL's history. Playing for Rajasthan Royals, he clocked 157.7 kmph against Delhi Capitals (then Daredevils). Interestingly, he bowled against his countrymate, Aaron Finch.
