Mumbai Indians completed a comprehensive 57-run victory over Rajasthan Royals. It was clinical display from the defending champions and they now look as one of the strongest contenders to win the prized title this year. While pace spearhead Bumrah led from the from with a 4-wicket haul, Boult and Pattinson both chipped in with two wickets apiece as they bundled out Rajasthan for just 136 in 18.1 overs.

Apart from Jos Buttler, no other batsman really caught the eye. While some of them failed to time the ball, it was the opening damage that cost them in the end with star players like skipper Steve Smith and Sanju Samson getting out after playing rash shots.

Mumbai Indians reached the top of the points table with this victory while Rajasthan Royals occupy the second last spot.

Jasprit Bumrah was in red-hot form against Rajasthan Royals as he picked-up four important wickets and returned amazing figues of 4-0-20-4. The pace spearhead had dismissed Rajasthan skipper Steve Smith early on and then in the middle overs, he delivered a lethal spell to keep the opposition batsmen in check. He took the wickets of Rahul Tewatia and Shreyas Gopal in the same over to land the final nail in the coffin.

Jos Buttler, who had looked lackluster so far in the tournament regained his form in some style. He scored a rapid 70 (off 44 balls; 4x4, 6x5). At one stage it looked like he can rescue the match for Rjasthan from the jaws of defeat but it wasn't meant to be. He didn't get any support from the other end and had to take all the risk himself. In the end he was unlucky as Pollard took an amazing acrobatic catch off Pattinson to end his fantastic innings. (Image Credits: Twitter/@IPL)
