Less than six months after giving birth to twins, Dipika Pallikal made the mother of all comebacks on Saturday when she teamed up with brother-in-law Saurav Ghosal and longtime teammate Joshna Chinappa to win the mixed doubles and women's doubles title at World Doubles Championships in Glasgow, Scotland.
Notably, Dipika is married to Team India and RCB cricketer Dinesh Karthik. The couple was engaged in 2013 and tied the knot two years later in 2015. The wicketkeeper-batter and Dipika had a lavish Christian style wedding as well as a traditional Hindu wedding.
Dipika is Dinesh Karthik's second wife. The India cricketer was previously married to Nikita Vijay, who is now married to former CSK batter Murali Vijay. Dipika and Nikita parted ways in 2012.
She has been honoured with two of the most prestigious awards in the past, the Padma Shri and the Arjuna Award for Squash.
