Former Indian cricketer and BJP MP from Delhi, Gautam Gambhir has guided India to victory on numerous occasions but some of his match-winning knocks are just mind-boggling. As the former India opener turns 40 years of age today, we bring you some of his top knocks for India. Notably, Gambhir was part of the T20 World Cup 2007 and 2011 ICC World Cup winning squad.
It is unarguably the best and most important knock of his cricketing career and many say that he did not get enough credit for this cold knock in a World Cup final against an A1 Sri Lankan side. While chasing 274, India lost two big names - Tendulkar and Sehwag early. MS Dhoni and Gambhir stood up to the occasion forming a 109-run partnership that got India right back into the contest.
