India’s star batter, Shubman Gill, is one of the most talented batters among the current crop of players worldwide. The Punjab-based batter came into the spotlight after he played in the ICC U-19 World Cup.
Gill collected 372 runs at an average of 124.0 and was named the Player of the Tournament. Gill was then asked to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) after which he went on to play for the Indian Team.
Shubman Gill turned 25 on Sunday and has registered his name in Indian cricket by setting new records and giving top performances.

Playing in his debut game for Punjab on November 17, 2017 against Bengal, Gill smashed a brilliant 63 in the first innings.
The Punjab-based batter made an appearance in the U-19 World Cup in 2018 where he collected 372 runs in just 5 innings with an average of 124.
At a mere age of 20, Shubman led India C against India B in the 2019-2020 season.
When Gill was 23 years old, he reached the feat of becoming the fifth Indian cricketer to score a double century in ODIs. Gill attained this record against New Zealand in January 2023.
Gill reached the milestone of reaching 1000 runs in just 19 innings. He is standing at joint second place with Pakistan’s Imam-Ul-Haq.
