In Pics: Full list of rewards announced for Tokyo Olympics gold medallist Neeraj Chopra

It's pouring rewards for Neeraj Chopra, who created history by winning India’s only second individual gold medal in the history of Olympic Games with a stellar performance at the recently concluded Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, where he finished first in the men’s javelin throw event.

‘Golden Boy’ Chopra fulfilled the dreams of Indians by winning a gold medal in track and field after 100 years. His 87.58m javelin throw became the talk of the town with which he sealed a gold medal in the men's javelin throw final in Tokyo.

Notably, Neeraj rose through the ranks to reach the pinnacle as he had won a gold medal in Asian Games and Commonwealth Games in 2018 and was the current national record holder with an 88.07m throw. He had also won the gold medal in Junior World Championship and set U 20 World Record with an 86.48m throw.

Meanwhile, the athlete from Haryana has been honoured by several sports bodies, state governments, and private organisations for his historic achievement in Tokyo. Here’s the list of rewards announced for Neeraj so far:
