Former India cricketer and the current head coach of the Men in Blue Gautam Gambhir was spotted in the city of Guwahati. Gambhir was seen visiting the Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati to take blessings on September 3 (Tuesday).
Kamakhya Devi Temple is one of the oldest and most powerful Shakti Peethas in India, situated at the top Nilachal Hill in Guwahati.
India coach's visit to the Kamakhya Temple came ahead of the India vs Bangladesh two-match Test series, starting September 19 in Chennai.
Earlier, Gautam Gambhir was roped in by the BCCI as the head coach of the Indian team across all the formats on July 9, succeeding Rahul Dravid, who powered India to victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup in Barbados.
Talking about Gambhir’s first assignment, the Indian team won the three-match T20I series but faced a 0-2 defeat against the Sri Lankan side.
Previously, Gambhir had a brilliant IPL 2024 campaign as he guided Kolkata Knight Riders to life the cash-rich league title.
